Report Summary and Metrics

Use of quantities, totals, averages, and other summary indicators.

Last updated 20 days ago

The Summary displays key figures for the entire selected dataset. Depending on the report, this might include the number of records, total amount, outstanding amount, debt, profit, cost, quantity, time spent, average duration, or the number of overdue records.

In the settings, select only the metrics needed for decision-making. For example, analyzing debtors requires data on total and overdue debt, whereas operational workflows require metrics on quantity, delays, and average resolution time. Once saved, your selected metrics and their layout will be preserved for future use.

The summary is calculated based on all active filters; therefore, changing the time period, status, or responsible party triggers a recalculation of the metrics. In financial reports, verify whether amounts are displayed in the document currency or the system's base currency, and check whether the selected metric includes or excludes VAT.

If a summary figure is unexpected, narrow down the time period, isolate a single metric, and enable the relevant columns in the table. Open a few source records to verify their statuses, dates, and amounts. This is the easiest way to identify discrepancies in filters or data.
