Personal Calendar settings

Default view, start of the week, card style, size, and weekends.

Last updated 20 days ago

Click the gear icon at the top of the calendar. You can select the default view, the first day of the week, the style for overlapping entries, the month card size, and whether to display weekends.

The Side-by-side style displays overlapping cards next to each other. The Overlapping style allows them to partially cover one another. The month card size determines how many lines of text are allocated to a single entry: the compact view fits more cards, while the expanded view shows more text. Hiding weekends affects only the display; entries are not deleted.

Selecting Inherit means the administrator's global setting applies. If you previously had a custom setting, selecting "Inherit" removes it. Default views for the main calendar and the Dashboard calendar are stored separately.

If a change does not appear to have taken effect, refresh the page and verify that you saved it. On mobile devices, the Day, Week, or Month views are used for the default opening view.

For a large number of meetings, choose the Side-by-side style and compact month cards. When reading titles is more important, use standard or expanded cards. If the organization operates on weekends, do not hide them; otherwise, the entries will remain but will not be visible in the standard weekly view.

A personal setting applies to individual work habits, whereas a general rule should be modified by an administrator. To revert to the default setting, select the inherited value for each previously modified field and save your changes.
