How to choose the right report

Selecting a report based on the data area and the issue being addressed.

Last updated 13 days ago

Choose a report based on the question you want to answer. If you need a list of clients and the individuals responsible for them, select report Contacts. To analyze the sales pipeline, use Leads, Opportunities, or their corresponding funnel reports. For deadlines and team performance, reports such as Tasks, Project reports, Tickets, and time-tracking reports are suitable. For financial matters, choose Invoices, Proforma Invoices, Credit Notes, Payments, Expenses, or the Debtor report.

A report's name indicates its primary data source. Specific results are generated by the filters and columns you select. For example, report Invoices can be used for this month's sales, unpaid documents, or a single client's history, while report Task is suitable for tracking overdue tasks or a specific team's workload.

Start with the pre-configured report that best fits your needs. Check the time period, statuses, and assignees, then add only the columns necessary for your analysis. Once you have the desired view, save it as a separate, clearly named template. This way, you won't have to repeat the same selections every time.
