Stock control in Opportunities, Proforma Invoices, and Invoices
How to separately limit the sales quantity for three types of documents.
Last updated 20 days ago
In the Settings → Inventory → General settings section, you can separately limit the sales quantity for Opportunities, Invoices, and Invoices.
Once the limit is enabled, you cannot select a quantity of Items in a document line that exceeds the amount available in the selected warehouse. Separate toggles allow for different rules: for example, you can plan for future quantities in a quote while restricting Invoice to only the Items actually in stock.
Before enabling this feature, check the following:
- whether a warehouse is always selected in the documents;
- whether stock levels are updated in a timely manner;
- how services and items with unlimited stock (Items) are handled;
- whether an external warehouse integration is used.
After making the change, try entering quantities that are lower than, equal to, and higher than the warehouse stock level. Check each document type individually.
