Stock Write-off Items, quantities and serial numbers

In the Stock Write-off line, select the Item from the document's warehouse. Specify the quantity, unit, and a comment. The price and line amount may be provided for cost information, but they are visible only to Staff users with the appropriate permissions.

If the Item is tracked by serial numbers, select the specific unit to be written off. In integrated accounting, it may also be necessary to select a balance line, batch, or department.

You cannot write off more than the selected balance allows. If the Items is not available for selection, check the warehouse, the balance date, and whether the inventory is managed by an external accounting system. Once lines are added, the warehouse selection may become locked.

Stock Write-off statuses and warehouse balances

The initial status of the Stock Write-off is "Preparing," and it does not result in a final reduction of inventory. When the status is changed to "Confirmed," Hanna records a negative change in the balance. If a confirmed document is cancelled, the previous change is reversed. A confirmed document is locked to prevent unauthorized changes to lines that have already been accounted for. If you discover an error, first cancel the document, correct the data, and then confirm it again.

Accounting integration can trigger a stock balance adjustment in an external system. If the balance has not changed or an integration error appears, check the status, warehouse, code Items, and the integration log.
