What you’ll do

You will create Stock Write-off, select the warehouse, Items, quantities, and the reason; if necessary, you will link the consumed Items to a customer, Object, or Contract.

Before you begin

Permission to create Stock Write-offs and access to the warehouse are required. Sufficient stock must be available before confirmation, and for Items tracked by serial numbers, a specific unit must be selected.

Creating a new Stock Write-off

Select New record from the Stock Write-offs list. Specify the warehouse, Stock Write-off date, status, and assignees. In the reason field, clearly describe why Items are being written off.

Add Items from the selected warehouse and enter the quantity and a comment for each. If serial numbers are used, select the specific unit to be written off. Check that there is sufficient stock in the warehouse before saving.

You can edit the lines as long as the document is not confirmed. Once confirmed, stock levels are reduced, and the document is usually locked. Therefore, change the status only after fully reconciling the warehouse, Items, quantities, and the reason.

You can initiate Stock Write-off from a customer, site, or contract card. In this case, Hanna automatically links the document to the selected record and displays it in the same context after saving.

The link helps clarify for whom or where Items were consumed. You should still enter a clear reason for Stock Write-off and verify that the correct warehouse and organization are selected.

If Stock Write-off does not appear on the card, check the document link and the contextual list filters. Some site-related fields depend on the organization's configuration, so they may not be visible in the standard form.
