Tasks bulk actions, import, export, and reports
Secure modification, import, and export of large data volumes, and verification of results.

Working with large volumes of Tasks, performing test imports, exporting selections, and verifying report results.
Summary
The Tasks summary displays aggregate results based on the selected period and filters. Before evaluating the figures, check the active status, date range, and data visibility settings (permissions).
Bulk actions
Users with the appropriate permissions (permissions) may have the option to modify multiple selected Tasks from the list. Before performing the action, verify the active filters, the number of selected rows, and the value being changed. Perform the action on a single Task item first to verify the result.
Export
Data matching the list selection is exported. Apply filters and search criteria before exporting, then check the number of results. The export button is not displayed if the user does not have export permissions.
Import
On the import page, select the file and processing options. Start by using a small test file to verify field mappings, duplicate detection, and options for updating existing records. After the import, review the summary of results and the created Tasks entries.
Reports
Report results depend on the selected time period, user data visibility, and filters.
If report figures are used for a critical decision, cross-check the selected period, status filter, and result against the same filter in the Tasks list.
Safe bulk action process
- Clear unnecessary filters and define a precise selection.
- Check the number of results and the first and last few rows.
- Select only a few test Tasks entries and perform the desired change.
- Open at least one record and verify the history and the new value.
- Only then apply the action to the larger selection.
A bulk status change may trigger notifications or other status-related logic. Perform bulk deletion only for isolated erroneous records and ensure a recovery plan is in place.
Preparing the import file
Use clear headers in the first row and ensure dates are in a consistent format. Keep the name, description, type, purpose, status, priority, dates, and Staff identifiers in separate columns. Use classifier values that already exist in the system. The initial file should contain only a few test rows. After importing, verify not only the record count but also dates, assignments, linked records, tags, and how duplicates are handled.
Export and Report Reconciliation
The export is based on the list selection active at the time. Note the filters and the number of displayed results, then reconcile this with the rows in the file. For reports, additionally verify the time period, statuses, and data visibility (permissions). If the figure is used for a management decision, compare it with a corresponding list selection (Tasks).
