What you’ll do

You will create a Stock Transfer between two warehouses, select the Items, quantities, and serial numbers, and check the stock balance before shipment.

Before you begin

You need permission to create Stock Transfers and access to both warehouses. The loading and unloading warehouses must be different, and the loading warehouse must have sufficient stock.

Creating a new Stock Transfer

Select New record from the Stock Transfers list. Specify the loading warehouse from which the Items are departing and the unloading warehouse to which they will be transferred. Select the loading date, status, and the assignees.

After selecting the loading warehouse, add the Items to be transported and their quantities. If known, enter the receipt date and a note. Verify that both warehouses are correct and distinct.

Save the document with the status In Preparation if the Items have not yet departed. It may not be possible to change the loading warehouse later once the document already contains Items lines. ---

Stock Transfer Items, quantities and serial numbers

Select Items from the loading warehouse inventory. For each line, verify the Items code, description, quantity, unit, price, and comment. The document card will display the line values and the total Stock Transfer value.

If Item is tracked by serial numbers, select the specific unit being transferred. In integrated accounting, you may also need to select a balance line or department.

Double-check the inventory balance before changing the status to In Transit. Another operation may have reduced the available quantity between the time the document was prepared and the time of shipment.
