Document Categories and Statuses

Category tree, statuses, active status, and safe modification of classifiers.

Last updated 20 days ago

Manage categories by selecting Documents → Categories. They can be organized in a tree structure, allowing you to break down a general group into more specific subcategories. Categories are used in the document list, in filters, and to select the registration number series.

You can find statuses under Documents → Statuses. A status indicates the document's current processing stage. You can configure the name, color, display order, active status, and default value.

A category and a type are not the same thing. A type helps populate the form and select a template, whereas a category classifies the document and links it to a numbering system.

Deactivate a category or status before discontinuing its use. Before deleting one, check existing documents, number series, default type values, and saved filters.
