Creating a notification rule
Rule name, module, activity, and safe first launch.
Last updated 20 days ago
Open System Settings → Notifications → Notification Settings and select New record.
- Enter a clear purpose for the rule in the Name field.
- Specify the Setting active from date.
- If you wish to prepare the rule for later activation, disable the Active option.
- Select the Module. Filters and time options specific to that module will appear.
- Select the Notification type and its content or template.
- Configure the selection criteria, date, interval, and recipient.
- If you need to prevent old records from being included, fill in the Records created from field.
- Review the recipient, timing, and selection criteria, then select Save.
The module selected when creating the rule determines its available fields. The module cannot be changed during subsequent editing; therefore, if a mistake is made, it is safer to create a new rule.
For the first run, use narrow selection criteria and a test recipient. After saving, verify the rule in the list and check the initial entries in the Notification History.
