Microsoft Entra Login and Role Management

Microsoft Entra is suitable for organizations that centrally manage access within the Microsoft 365 environment. Hanna can use Entra for login and map accounts to Hanna roles.

The Hanna administrator opens System Settings → Settings → Miscellaneous → Security and enables Allow login via Microsoft Entra. The Microsoft 365 administrator sets up the application registration and approves the requested permissions; coordinate this work in advance with Hanna Customer Support.

Entra application roles can distinguish between a standard user, an administrator, and a super administrator. A Microsoft Entra Group ID can also be specified within the Hanna role.

Before launch, define the mappings between Entra groups and Hanna roles, verify administrator access, decide on automatic user creation, test with a limited group, and ensure a recovery administrator is designated.

If a user is assigned an incorrect role, check their Entra groups, the application role, and the Group ID recorded in the Hanna role.
