Chart Color Palette and Safe Modification

A general color palette is selected in the chart settings, so it is worth evaluating the change across all frequently used charts.

Chart Settings and Their Purpose

By selecting Settings → Charts, you can define the general color palette for Hanna charts and decide whether to apply it to standard charts.

These settings apply to the entire account. They alter the colors of report charts, summary bars, and other visual elements, but do not affect the underlying data, totals, filters, or grouping.

Modifying these settings requires the appropriate editing permissions.

Selecting a Color Palette

In the Color Palette field, choose one of the five visual options. Each palette features a consistent color sequence: the first color is used for the initial data series, while subsequent colors are assigned to further series or categories.

After selecting a palette, click Save. Refresh the report or dashboard page to load the new color scheme.

Changing the palette does not alter the chart values; it only controls their visual presentation.

Safely Modifying Chart Settings

Before changing the palette, open a frequently used report and the main dashboard. Note which charts use specific, designated colors.

Change the palette, select the standard option, and click Save. Then refresh the pages and check:

  • the report chart;
  • the chart with a custom color;
  • the specific charts and project charts;
  • text and background contrast.

If the result is unsatisfactory, return to Settings → Charts, select the previous palette, and save again.
