One-time and recurring notifications

Reference date, offset, repetition interval, and validation.

Last updated 20 days ago

A one-time notification is sent once based on the date of a selected record. First, select the reference date—such as the critical date (Task), the deadline (Invoices), or the contract end date. Then, specify the quantity and unit: minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. The setting before or after determines the timing relative to that date.

Example: If you select before the critical date, a quantity of 2, and days, the notification will be scheduled for two days prior to the critical date.

A recurring notification repeats at a set interval. Specify the start date, sending time, quantity, and period (in days, weeks, months, or years). A recurring rule is suitable for regular reminders; however, selecting an interval that is too short may result in an excessive number of notifications.

If the selected date field is empty in a specific record, a one-time notification will not be scheduled for it. Changing the rule's time, period, filters, or start date may cause future, unsent scheduled notifications to be recalculated.

After activation, open the Notification History to check the scheduled date, recipient, and status.
