Periodic task settings
By selecting Settings → Periodic Tasks (Cron Job), you can manage automatic reminders, recurring entries, and automatic document closure.
The settings define the rules, but the system scheduler must be running to execute them. Automation can send emails, create documents or tasks, and change status. Before enabling, verify recipients, templates, and intervals, and monitor the first execution after making changes.
Payment and expiration reminders
You can enable overdue payment reminders and configure the time of day, the number of days before the first email is sent, the repetition interval, and the minimum outstanding amount.
Reminders are sent only for documents with the appropriate status and to eligible recipients. A repetition interval of 0 means no follow-up emails are sent. Additional controls determine whether a recurring document is created only after the previous one is paid, whether it is sent to the customer, and whether a task is created if no email address is available.
Proforma Invoices, Opportunities, and Contract Expiration Reminders
You can enable a reminder for each area and specify how many days prior to the expiration date it should be sent.
Contract reminders are primarily sent to the active person in charge; if none is assigned, they go to the creator. Clients (Contacts) are notified only if the contract is visible to them and they have access. A deadline set within a specific contract may affect the general interval.
