Task timer automation
Stopping other timers, end of workday, and notes.

In the Tasks settings, you can manage three aspects of timer behavior.
Stop other timers when starting a new one helps prevent a single team member from accidentally accumulating time across multiple Taskse entries. When a new timer is started, other active timers for the same team member are stopped. The logged time for other Staff entries remains unchanged.
Stop timers at the end of the workday addresses timers that were left running inadvertently. Before enabling this, check your organization's workday end time and time zone. This automatic action also depends on active system-scheduled Tasks tasks.
Require a note when stopping a timer displays a note field in the standard interface before the timer stops. This is useful when a brief explanation of the work performed is needed.
After making changes, test the process using a test Task: start a first timer, then a second, stop one with a note, and verify the recorded time entries.
