Creating a notification rule

Rule name, module, activity, and safe first launch.

Last updated 20 days ago

Open System Settings → Notifications → Notification Settings and select New record.

  1. Enter a clear purpose for the rule in the Name field.
  2. Specify the Setting active from date.
  3. If you wish to prepare the rule for later activation, disable the Active option.
  4. Select the Module. Filters and time options specific to that module will appear.
  5. Select the Notification type and its content or template.
  6. Configure the selection criteria, date, interval, and recipient.
  7. If you need to prevent old records from being included, fill in the Records created from field.
  8. Review the recipient, timing, and selection criteria, then select Save.

The module selected when creating the rule determines its available fields. The module cannot be changed during subsequent editing; therefore, if a mistake is made, it is safer to create a new rule.

For the first run, use narrow selection criteria and a test recipient. After saving, verify the rule in the list and check the initial entries in the Notification History.
