Webhook Settings and Action History
Webhooks automatically notify an external system whenever a record in a selected module is created or modified in Hanna. This allows you to transfer data to accounting, automation, or analytics systems without manual exporting.

What you’ll do
You will create a webhook rule that sends a POST request to an external system following a selected Hanna event, and you will verify its delivery in the Action History.
Before You Begin
You need administrator access to the Integration Settings and the HTTPS recipient address of the external system. Store authorization credentials in a secrets vault.
Steps
- Go to System Settings → Settings → Miscellaneous → Webhook Settings and enable Webhooks Active.
- Select Create New.
- Specify the module and action—e.g., notify upon record creation or editing.
- Enter the external system's HTTPS recipient address.
- In the Headers (json) field, enter any authorization or other headers required by the recipient in valid JSON format.
- Enable the rule, save it, and perform a controlled test action.
What happens after saving
Once saved, the active rule sends a POST request to the specified HTTPS address following the selected event. You can view the request payload, the recipient's response, and any errors in the Action History.
Troubleshooting
If the recipient does not receive the data, check the master switch, the rule status, the HTTPS address, the JSON headers, and the response shown in the Action History. The recipient must be able to securely recognize a re-sent message and avoid creating duplicates.
If the issue persists, send Hanna Customer Support the rule's module and event, attempt time and time zone, status and response shown in the Action History, and the recipient domain. Do not send authorization headers, access tokens, or other secrets.
