Where to Find and What Locale Settings Control
Open System Settings → Settings → Locale. Here you will find the default time zone, active and default system languages, the customer PDF language rule, the country of origin, and the optional Scoris locale.
These settings apply to your entire Hanna environment. Individual users or customers may have their own language settings, so changing the global language will not always alter every user's screen or document.
Make a note of the current values before saving. After making changes, check the administrator screen, a user account, a customer record, a new document, and its PDF output.
Change locale settings while logged in as an administrator, and verify the language, time, and document output after the change. This note applies to all functions described in this article.
Active, Default, and User Language
In the Active System Languages section, you can see the languages available for use in your Hanna environment. Lithuanian and English may appear as base languages that cannot be changed. In the Default System Language field, select the language to be used when a user has not specified a preference. The language of a logged-in team member profile takes precedence over the general default language. The client's language may be used within the customer portal, whereas an unauthenticated visitor can only select a language permitted by the administrator.
If a user sees the wrong language, check their profile language, the list of active languages, and the system's default language. After making changes, log out and log back in, or refresh the page.
Default Time Zone
In the Default Time Zone field, select the city or region that corresponds to your company's operating hours—for example, Europe/Vilnius. The regional setting automatically adjusts for daylight saving time changes.
The time zone applies to the calendar, reminders, scheduled messages, email timestamps, and background processes. After changing it, verify the timestamp of a new record, a calendar event, and at least one scheduled message.
If the time is off by one hour, first check the selected zone and the record's date. Do not make bulk adjustments to historical records until you have identified where the incorrect offset was applied.
Country of Origin and Scoris Locale
In the Country of Origin field, select the country that Hanna will use for general country-based comparisons. It may be relevant when determining behavior for VAT scenarios where the customer's country differs from the Lead country. Always verify the final VAT rate based on the specific transaction details.
The Scoris field is intended solely for Scoris integration. Select the country whose Scoris data market you are using. This selection does not change the system language, time zone, or customer country.
If you do not use Scoris, you may leave this field unselected. After changing the country of origin, verify a new document for both a local and a foreign customer; after changing the Scoris locale, perform a test integration lookup.
