Status comments and closure questions

When **Mandatory comment on status change** is enabled, a comment is required to explain every status change. It is best to state the solution or reason in the comment so that the process flow remains clear for future reference.

The Use closure checklist questions option enables an additional list of questions. You can find this in the administration section. You can link the questions to specific types.

When closing an item, the system displays questions appropriate for its type. All questions must be checked. If you close the closure window or leave an item unchecked, the status will not be changed.

When the mandatory comment option is also enabled, you will need to both check the questions and enter a comment in the closure window.

It is recommended to start with a few clear questions, such as: has the client been answered, has the solution been recorded, and have the necessary documents been attached? The questions should describe a verifiable action. If the wrong questions are displayed, check the type and the question's association with types.
